Job summary

AAR is seeking a Procurement Analyst for a temporary assignment (June 2027 to August 2027) to support sourcing, purchasing, and inventory optimization. The role focuses on analyzing data, collaborating with cross-functional teams, and driving improvements in procurement processes to enhance cost, quality, and delivery performance.

You will work with Operations, Inventory Management, and Finance to ensure timely material availability and accurate procurement records while adhering to ITAR

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Finance, Operations Management, or related field by May 2028 is preferred.
  • 0-2 years of experience in procurement, purchasing, supply chain, inventory management, data analysis, or related business function.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel, and experience with ERP/MRP or inventory systems preferred.
  • Strong analytical, organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

  • Analyze purchasing, inventory, and supplier data to support procurement decisions and operational performance.
  • Review purchase requisitions, purchase orders, and related documentation for accuracy and policy compliance.
  • Monitor supplier performance, track order status, and communicate with vendors to ensure timely delivery.
  • Obtain and compare supplier quotations, maintain supplier information, and support sourcing initiatives for best value.
  • Prepare procurement reports, forecasts, metrics, and presentations for management decision-making.
  • Collaborate with Operations, Production, Finance, and Inventory Management to support material planning and resolve supply issues.
  • Identify opportunities for process improvements to enhance procurement efficiency and data integrity while ensuring compliance.

Job description

Temporary Position for June 2027 to August 2027.

The Procurement Analyst supports the procurement and supply chain functions by ensuring materials and services are sourced efficiently, purchased accurately, and delivered on time to support business operations. This role is responsible for analyzing purchasing and inventory data, supporting supplier communications, maintaining procurement records, and identifying opportunities to improve inventory and purchasing processes. The Procurement Analyst works closely with suppliers, operations, inventory, manufacturing, finance, and other internal stakeholders to help achieve company objectives related to cost, quality, and delivery performance.

What you will be responsible for:
  • Analyze purchasing, inventory, and supplier data to support procurement decisions, inventory optimization, and operational performance.
  • Review purchase requisitions, purchase orders, and related documentation for accuracy and compliance with company policies and procedures.
  • Monitor supplier performance, track order status, and communicate with vendors to ensure timely delivery of materials and services.

  • Prepare procurement reports, forecasts, metrics, and presentations to support management decision-making and business planning activities.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams including Operations, Production, Finance, and Inventory Management to support material planning and resolve supply-related issues.
  • Identify opportunities for process improvements and support initiatives that enhance procurement efficiency, inventory accuracy, data integrity, and overall supply chain performance while ensuring compliance with company policies and customer requirements.
What you will need to be successful in this role:
  • Obtaining a Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business
  • Administration, Finance, Operations Management, or a related field by May 2028 is preferred.
  • 0-2 years of experience in procurement, purchasing, supply chain, inventory management, data analysis, or a related business function. Internship or co-op experience is a plus.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel, and experience working with ERP, MRP, or inventory management systems preferred.
  • Strong analytical, organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • This position requires compliance with International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR). Candidates must be a U.S. Person as defined by ITAR (U.S. citizen, U.S. national, lawful permanent resident, or individual admitted as a refugee or granted asylum).

Compensation:

The anticipated salary range for this position is $21.00 hourly. This range reflects the base pay for candidates who meet the requirements of the role, including experience, education, and location. AAR offers a competitive benefits package, including medical/dental/vision/life/and AD&D insurance, 401(k) savings plan with employer match, paid time off and holiday pay, as well as opportunities for professional development and growth.
