Job summary

The Learning Experience - Parsippany seeks a Preschool Center Director to lead the center, support teachers, and foster strong family relationships. The role covers ensuring a safe, nurturing learning environment and overseeing day-to-day operations from November 2026 through May 2027, with potential for permanency.

Responsibilities include staff development, curriculum guidance, licensing compliance, and driving enrollment growth while delivering high-quality early education.

Qualifications

• Two or more years of center leadership/management experience (highly preferred) or at least one year (required).
• State-specific Administrative or Director credential.
• Bachelor's degree in ECE or related field (highly preferred).
• Strong knowledge of state licensing rules and regulations.

• Lead by example, create an environment of trust, rapport, and inclusivity with diverse groups.
• Ensure center health and safety SOPs and licensing compliance.
• Build and maintain a highly qualified staff through sourcing, training, coaching, and engagement.
• Guide teachers in implementing the proprietary curriculum and engaging learning experiences.
• Drive business results: family retention, enrollment growth, and manage AR/AP, P&L, payroll.
• Engage families through in-person and virtual tours; organize community events to raise enrollment.

Education

Role: Preschool Center Director

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Preschool Center Director to join our team and provide strong leadership and support during a temporary leave. This position will begin November 2026, and continue through May 2027. The Director will be responsible for leading the center, supporting teachers, building strong relationships with families, and ensuring a safe, nurturing, and high-quality learning environment for our children.

While this position is initially temporary, there may be an opportunity for the position to become permanent based on the needs of the center and the candidate’s performance.

As a Preschool Center Director at The Learning Experience, You Will:

• Ensure that the physical center environment adheres to health and safety standard operating procedures, maintaining full compliance with local and state licensing regulations.
• Build and maintain a highly qualified staff by actively sourcing, training, coaching, and engaging with current and prospective employees.
• Guide our teachers in implementing our proprietary curriculum, leveraging your passion for learning. Take advantage of our engaging characters to drive the curriculum, creating a fun and enriching learning experience at TLE.
• Drive consistent business results, measured through family retention and conversion, enrollment growth, and efficient business operations. Manage accounts receivable and payable, generate monthly P&L reports, and oversee employee payroll.
• Engage prospective families through both in-person and virtual center tours, effectively showcasing the benefits of our program. Organize and execute community marketing events to raise awareness and drive enrollment.

Candidate Requirements:

• Have two or more years of center leadership/management experience (highly preferred) or at least one year of center leadership/management experience (required).
• Possess the state‑specific Administrative or Director credential, as well as any other state‑specific guidelines for the role.
• Hold a Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education (ECE) or a related field (highly preferred).
• Demonstrate strong knowledge of state licensing rules and regulations.
