Montgomery College, Rockville campus, seeks candidates for temporary Performing Arts Technicians in the Performing Arts Center. This is a non-bargaining, non-exempt position. For non-exempt positions, you are not eligible to work a secondary job at Montgomery College. Temporary Performing Arts Technicians help ensure the technical operations of all equipment is properly maintained, ensuring national, state, and county regulations and codes are met and followed, as well as provide lighting design, sound design, SFX design, lighting console operation and programming, audio engineering, video engineering, rigging, stage management, production management, and technical direction for theatre productions. Temps work in the capacity as Stage Hands, House Managers, PA and hospitality Coordinators, and fill in as needed in the event College Staff are unable to work performances due to being on Annual or Sick leave. This is a temporary position without benefits funded through June 30, 2027. Employment continuation beyond this period is contingent upon need and funding.
Hiring Range: $25.00 per hour
