Job summary

New Era Cap, LLC, headquartered in Buffalo, NY, is seeking a Temporary Part-Time Sales Associate for the Flagship Store to support peak retail demand from late October through early January.

You will engage authentically with customers, process sales at the point of sale, help maintain the store layout and inventory, and participate in training to uphold the New Era standard of service on the sales floor in Downtown Buffalo.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred; additional experience will be considered in lieu of degree
• One to three years of experience working within a retail setting

Responsibilities:

• Provide superior level of prompt, efficient and courteous customer service
• Use best judgment in all customer service matters and to quickly resolve and address any customer complaints
• Accurately process sales by processing cash, credit cards and correctly operate the point of sale system
• Maintain store and product layout
• Perform all regular cleaning duties and tasks
• Contribute to team efforts and attended all training sessions
• Be collaborative, dependable and respectful; communicate positively regarding store management and company strategies
• Perform physical inventory and follow all inventory procedures
• Maintain store stock levels on floor and in backroom
• Keeps all sensitive matters confidential
• Other duties as assigned

• Ability to safely lift 50 lbs
• Comfortable climbing ladder

Education and Experience:

• High school Diploma or GED preferred; additional experience will be considered in lieu of degree
• One (1) to three (3) years of experience working within a retail setting

The hourly rate for this posted position is $16.00 - $17.00 per hour and pertains to candidates located in Western New York. Actual compensation will fall within this range and is determined by a wide array of factors including but not limited to skill set, education, essential job duties and requirements, and necessary experience.
