The Department of Society, History, and Culture at Kutztown University invites applications for two 1/4-time temporary History positions at the Instructor level to teach in-person sections of HIST 025 (U.S. Formative Years and the Federal Republic) for the Spring 2027 semester.
Candidates must have the ability to teach a variety of undergraduate history courses in their discipline, particularly introductory courses in U.S. History before 1900. The part-time temporary positions have a regular teaching load of three (3) hours per week. In accordance with the Collective Bargaining Agreement, performance review and evaluation of faculty is based on effective teaching and fulfillment of professional responsibilities; continuing scholarly growth; and service.
Preference will be given to applicants showing evidence of strong teaching.
Review of applicants will begin immediately and will continue until October 16, 2026.
Successful interviews, reference checks, background clearances (PA Criminal, Child Abuse Clearance & FBI Clearance), and demonstration of ability are requisite qualifications for all positions.
