The Department of Secondary Education at Kutztown Universityinvites applicants for our temporary adjunct pool in teachereducation for the following areas: coursework in Principles ofTeaching and Learning for secondary teacher candidates; supervisionof student teaching, undergraduate and graduate coursework for theEnglish as a Second Language (ESL) program; graduate courses forour Curriculum and Instruction MEd program; and graduate coursesfor our Principal and Supervisory Certificate programs.Undergraduate course offerings could be day or evening. Graduatecourses are typically offered online. We are seeking colleagues whohave a passion for preparing the next generation of teachers.
In accordance with the Collective Bargaining Agreement, performancereview and evaluation of faculty is based on effective teaching andfulfillment of professional responsibilities; continuing scholarlygrowth and professional development; and service.
Required qualifications: a Master's degree in the field ofeducation, at least 5 years' experience teaching in PK-12.
Preferred: Doctorate; and at least one year of college-levelteaching experience or equivalent; experience working with diverselearners; 7-12 certification(s); ESL Endorsement; PrincipalCertification.
Applicants who meet the minimum requirements will be certified tobe placed in our part-time adjunct faculty pool and will remain inthe pool while the pool is active. As need arises, applicants inthe pool will be considered and contacted for an on-campusinterview. During the on-campus interview, successful interview anddemonstration of abilities are required to be selected.
