Monday and Wednesday 6:00 pm – 9:00 pm.

Responsibilities
  • Plan, prepare, and deliver instruction aligned with the approved curriculum on a daily basis.
  • Develop lesson plans that support student learning outcomes and workforce readiness.
  • Organize and maintain instructional materials, tools, equipment, and supply inventories.
  • Monitor and evaluate student progress, including grading and attendance tracking.
  • Provide timely, accurate, and constructive feedback on student performance, behaviour, and participation.
  • Maintain current knowledge of applicable industry standards, laws, regulations, and compliance requirements, and integrate this knowledge into daily instruction.
  • Communicate effectively with school staff regarding student behaviour and instructional progress.
  • Model professionalism, reliability, and respect to contribute to a positive school culture.
Qualifications
  • 5 years of experience in the field.
  • Prior teaching experience preferred.
  • Proficient written communication skills including the ability to prepare reports, complete student evaluations, and document student progress.
  • Strong verbal communication skills for classroom instruction and student engagement.
  • High School Diploma or GED.
  • Current knowledge of animal care practices, veterinary safety procedures, and applicable industry standards is required.
  • Associate’s degree in Veterinary Technology, Animal Science, or a related field is preferred.
  • Veterinary Assistant certification through NAVTA, CVA, AVA, LVT, RVT, CVT, or comparable industry‑recognized credential is preferred.
Physical Requirements
  • This position requires mobility throughout the campus.
  • Dexterity in working with computers is mandatory.
  • Ability to stand and walk for extended periods while teaching in a classroom and lab settings.
  • Ability to lift, carry, and move program related equipment or training materials up to 50 lbs.
  • Sufficient manual dexterity to handle animals safely, demonstrate veterinary procedures, operate laboratory equipment, and utilise animal care tools.
  • Ability to bend, stoop, kneel, reach, and assist with animal handling, restraint, examination procedures, and laboratory demonstrations.
Special Instructions for Applicants

Monday and Wednesday 6:00 pm – 9:00 pm.

Salary

$35 per hour.
