North Carolina Agricultural and Technical State University is seeking a temporary part-time associate director for the Physician Assistant Program. The role involves curriculum development, effective course design, and ensuring the program meets accreditation standards.
The position requires a Master’s degree and involves no more than 20 hours per week, with the aim to train practitioners for providing patient-centered care in North Carolina's underserved communities.
This is a temporary, part‑time position with administrative responsibilities and reports to the Program Director. The part‑time associate director within the Physician Assistant (PA) Program is primarily responsible for curriculum development, instruction, and/or course coordination in the didactic and/or clinical phase of the program. The associate director will be effective in course design, course delivery, and evaluation, and is instrumental in ensuring the program meets the Accreditation Review Commission on Education for Physician Assistant (ARC‑PA) accreditation standards.
No more than 20 hours per week. Monday – Friday 8:00 a.m. – 6:00 p.m.
To prepare highly qualified, diverse graduates to provide comprehensive, patient‑centered care, particularly for underserved communities in North Carolina. The 27‑month, full‑time, Master’s‑level program aims to address regional provider shortages by training practitioners in both didactic and clinical settings.
