The County of Riverside's Human Resources Temporary Assignment Program (TAP) is seeking a Temporary Park Maintenance Worker to support the Parks Department across Riverside County.
Position Overview: This is a first professional level classification reporting to a supervisory or managerial position. The role involves performing buildings and grounds maintenance duties, with occasional public contact such as assisting park visitors and explaining park rules.
Conduct vegetation management under the Natural Resources Manager and Ranger Supervisor at Cal Fire Grant locations and Open-Space properties, including weed abatement, habitat mowing, roadside weed whipping, and restoration activities.

Perform vegetation management similar to Riverside, at the Southwestern Riverside County Multi-Species Reserve, under the Reserve Manager and Ranger.
Maintain park facilities, including restroom cleaning, litter removal, landscape upkeep, troubleshooting plumbing, electrical, irrigation, and mechanical issues. Basic knowledge of power tools and heavy equipment required.
Work Schedule: 5/40 schedule, with start times at 8am-4:30pm and 5:30am-2pm; days off TBD.
