Job summary

West Linn-Wilsonville School District 3J is seeking a Temporary Paraeducator I/II (0.52 FTE) for Boeckman Creek Primary School in West Linn, Oregon. The position runs 21 hours per week, Tue, Wed, Thu, 7:30 am–3:00 pm, under a Licensed Teacher supervision.

The role supports students in academics, routines, and behavior, following safety protocols. Applicants may have an AA/AS or higher, and additional credentials boost pay. A growth-minded team environment is offered.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of instructional strategies to support a broad range of students, including students with disabilities.
• Business English, spelling, punctuation and mathematics.
• Current office practices, procedures, keyboarding and equipment.
• Proficient use of computer technology.

Responsibilities

• Work individually and in small groups with students to foster independence in academics, social skills, communication, behavior, and daily routines.
• Collect and record data, prepare instructional materials, and support assessment of students.
• Provide support in general education and special education settings, gyms, lunchrooms, playgrounds, and community.
• Assist with hygienic and personal needs of students, including medical protocols and lifting when necessary.
