Job summary

MGM Resorts International in Las Vegas, Nevada, seeks an experienced Painter to maintain and refresh surfaces across the property. The role involves painting and wall coverings, using spray equipment, and ensuring overall facility integrity with strict adherence to laws and company policies.

The ideal candidate will have a high school diploma or equivalent, be at least 18, and able to work varied shifts including weekends and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Perform maintenance and repairs on painted and papered surfaces throughout the property.
• Operate power and hand tools, including spray equipment, as required.
• Prepare surfaces, apply paint, install wall coverings, patch and texture as needed.
• Work under minimal supervision to complete tasks.
• Maintain knowledge of current painting methods and safety practices.
• Communicate with the Shift Supervisor about any unusual conditions.

THE JOB:

It is the responsibility of the Painter to perform maintenance and repairs, performing the duties of combination painter in all phasesof painting and wall covering on all areas of the property. All duties are to be performed in accordance with federal, state, local laws,regulations, and ordinances, as well as department and company policies, practices, and procedures to ensure overall facility integrity.

THE STARTING RATE:

$37.86 Per Hour

THE DAY-TO-DAY:

• Perform routine to complex maintenance and repair work on painted and papered surfaces and systems throughout theproperty, responsible for completion of all jobs assigned by Dispatch or Management and maintain logbooks
• Operate power and hand tools to complete job assignments in a timely manner; to include ability to operate conventionaland/or airless spray equipment as required
• Prepare surface to be painted, paint and install wall covering, adjust paint to proper color as necessary, patch, tape andtexture and acoustic as necessary
• Work under minimal supervision to complete tasks in a timely manner
• Keep informed and updated on current technical methods
• Advise Shift Supervisor of any unusual conditions within the property
• Understand the layout of the property, hotel rooms, and equipment
• Maintain constant awareness of personal and property cleanliness, safety and accident prevention, able to wear/usepersonal protective equipment (p.p.e.)
