Job summary

Qualifications

  • Master's Degree, preferably in the teaching discipline.
  • Or, Master's Degree in another field with 18 graduate credits in the teaching discipline.
  • A terminal degree in the discipline or related area is preferred.
  • Professional and/or teaching experience related to assigned instructional responsibilities.
  • Excellent oral, written, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to read, write, and understand English.
  • Candidates must be eligible to work within the United States.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and teach courses.
  • Advise students with regard to academic concerns and school-related organizations.
  • May provide service related teaching duties.
  • Participate in decisions related to policies, courses, and programs.
  • Pursue continuing personal growth within the profession and stay current with the field.
  • Deliver high-quality instruction to undergraduate students in English, Criminal Justice, History/Political Science, etc.
  • Assist in developing department goals and objectives; advise students; support research and community outreach.
  • Develop and maintain strong ties to other scholars in the field and enrich the student experience.
  • Maintain regular office hours.
