Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Perform phlebotomy and collect specimens from patients of all ages.
• Identify patients and verify laboratory orders prior to collection.
• Greet patients and assess preparedness for testing; provide instructions as needed.
• Process, label, and prepare specimens for transport to the lab.
• Enter orders into LIS and verify patient demographics and billing information.
• Coordinate with supervisors on temporary phlebotomy needs and workflow.
• Assist with stocking supplies and transport when required.
