Job summary

Hamilton-Madison House seeks a Substitute Farm Stand Manager to oversee the outdoor Farm Stand at 50 Madison Street, NYC, during staff absences. This on-call, temporary role reports to the Youth Development Manager and runs through November 29, 2026.

You will supervise youth staff, manage weekly setup, cash handling, and promotional sales at the Norwich Meadows Farm stand, and coordinate orders and pickups with vendors. This position requires strong organizational and supervisory skills.

Qualifications

• Driver's license and clean driving record.
• Knowledge/experience in fresh local produce display and sales at farmer markets.
• Experience working with youth ages 14 and up preferred.
• Familiarity with FMNP coupons, EBT cards, and NYC Health Bucks.

Responsibilities

• Help train, supervise and evaluate youth staff at the Farm Stand.
• Oversee weekly setup, cash handling, FMNP/EBT processing and Health Bucks issuance.
• Place weekly orders with Norwich Meadows Farm based on sales data.
• Coordinate produce pickup from Norwich Meadows Farm and manage unsold produce.
• Maintain weekly records and secure deposit of sales proceeds.
