Job summary

FRESHFARM is seeking Substitute Market Staff to represent our markets in Washington, DC. You will work as part of a team in a fast-paced environment, assisting at multiple markets and reporting to the Market Personnel Manager.

Candidates with customer service, retail, or food & agriculture experience, and language aptitude in Spanish or Chinese, are welcome; prior language skills are a plus but not required.

Job Description

Market Staff are the face of FRESHFARM at markets. They play a key role in the success and growth of markets and work as part of a team in a fast-paced and dynamic environment, reporting to the Market Personnel Manager. Substitute Market Staff fill in open shifts as needed at any of our 20+ markets, typically working an average of 1-3 shifts per month.

Successful candidates will be creative problem solvers, clear communicators, collaborative team members, and passionate about creating inclusive community spaces all about regional, accessible, fresh food. Previous experience in customer service, retail, food & ag, or foreign language aptitude, specifically Spanish and Chinese (Mandarin or Cantonese) is a plus, but not required.

Compensation

this position is: hourly, $20/hr
