Job summary

Acuren is recruiting for temporary NDT/RT Assistants to support tour operation in Duluth, MN. This position is full-time and temporary.

You will assist in calibrations, perform nondestructive tests, set up equipment, and help radiographers while recording inspection results and maintaining safety procedures.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required or preferred
• Some college coursework may be beneficial
• Technical background desired for NDT work
• Must be able to obtain Trustworthy & Reliable certification per regulations
• Drive-ready record must meet company standards
• 40 Hour Radiation Safety Training (40RAD) required
• IRRSP card required
• TWIC card required

Responsibilities

• Assist in calibrations, nondestructive tests, and evaluations for acceptance or rejection determinations according to written instructions and record results
• Set up and utilize nondestructive test equipment
• Assist radiographers in the calibration of NDT equipment
• Assist radiographers to conduct tests to detect defects using NDT methods of inspection

• Assist performing NDT procedures, carrying equipment and other operations
• Perform other job related tasks as assigned by management

Responsibilities

• NDT Assistants will assist in performing calibrations, Nondestructive Tests, and evaluations for acceptance or rejection determinations according to written instructions and record results.
• Set up and utilize Nondestructive Test equipment
• Assist Radiographers in the calibration of NDT equipment
• Assist Radiographers to conduct tests to ensure quality or detect discontinuities (defects) using NDT methods of inspection
• Record results of inspections
• Assist performing NDT procedures, carrying equipment and other operations
• Perform other job related tasks as assigned by management

Skills

• High School Diploma or equivalent
• Some college preferred
• Technical background desired
• Must be able to have experience, credentials and history to be certified as Trustworthy & Reliable to comply with federal and state regulations, as determined by a thorough background check
