Job summary

Anthropologie is seeking a Temporary Merchandise Assistant to support the Functional Décor buying team in managing merchandise flow and web turnover. You will partner with buyers, vendors, and cross-functional teams to optimize sample management, status updates, and color trends.

You will develop skills in product management, vendor communications, and business analytics while supporting daily operations and reports for strategic decision making.

Qualifications

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Detail oriented in a fast-paced environment with sense of urgency.
• Understanding of customer wants and product trends.
• Ability to prioritize multiple tasks and manage competing deadlines.
• Proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint; quick learner of new programs.

Responsibilities

• Own web turnover and product information management.
• Manage sample requests and SKU tracking; web photo samples and related requests.
• Maintain digital photographs of items for systems and development.
• Support product development through sample management.
• Track shipping/receiving and return samples to vendors.
• Communicate changes/updates to cross-functional teams and partners.
• Conduct weekly web audits to verify styles/colors and read customer reviews.
• Build positive vendor relationships and manage sample inquiries.
• Assist in weekly business analyses with reports and color projections.
