Job summary

DAP Health in Coachella Valley is seeking a Medical Assistant (temporary full-time) to support clinicians and the clinic team. You will perform basic clinical tasks, assist with patient care, and help ensure smooth daily operations.

Under supervision, you will gather vital signs, prepare exam rooms, assist with procedures, and maintain accuracy in documentation while upholding safety and PHI privacy standards.

Qualifications

• Medical assistant certificate or equivalent training.
• 1 year of Medical Assistant experience preferred.
• Graduation from an approved Medical Assistant program.
• Current BLS certification through recognized organization.
• National or CA Medical Assistant Certification preferred.
• Experience with EPIC EHR system preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide basic clinical procedures to non-acute patients and assist clinicians.
• Prepare charts, perform pre-visit planning, and participate in daily huddle.
• Take vital signs and prepare patients for examinations.
• Assist with specimens collection, minor procedures, and treatments.
• Ensure patient safety and maintain infection control policies.
• Maintain PHI privacy and confidentiality per regulations.
• Greet patients and prepare exam rooms for visits.
• Assist with patient flow and chart/documentation accuracy.
