Job summary

XPDEL, Inc. is seeking a Material Handler in South Bend, IN, for a temporary position. The role involves moving, locating, and storing materials using a forklift or similar equipment, with an emphasis on safety and accuracy. A team player with warehouse/manufacturing experience is preferred.

Responsibilities include picking/packing for shipment, maintaining paperwork, updating the WMS, and restocking per procedures. Forklift certification is required or must be obtained within 30 days.

Qualifications

• Must have a high school diploma or GED or 3 years of warehouse experience.
• Current forklift certification or ability to become certified within 30 days.
• Ability to read and understand written and verbal instructions; strong attention to detail.

• Complete required paperwork and project time-tracking documentation.
• Restock items not needed short term according to procedures.
• Assist with contacting freight couriers to schedule pickups and deliveries.
• Label and prepare items for shipment and load/unload trucks as needed.
• Update the Warehouse Management system with transactions.
• Perform daily safety checklist and battery charging procedures.
• Support team to meet/exceed customer expectations.

• Shift: Monday to Friday 7:00 am - 3:30 pm

Role Summary

Our client is seeking a Material Handler to join their rapidly growing team. The Material Handler is responsible for accurately moving, locating, and storing materials using a forklift or other powered equipment. The ideal candidate is a team player and has previous warehouse/manufacturing experience.

Key Results Areas

• Safe & efficient operation of all the power-operated equipment that requires certification
• Accurately pick and pack items for shipment, potentially with a forklift
• Complete required paperwork and project time-tracking documentation
• Ensure all items not needed short term are restocked according to established procedures
• Assist with contacting freight couriers to schedule pick-ups and deliveries
• Label and prepare items for shipment and load and unload trucks as needed
• Update the Warehouse Management system with transactions
• Perform daily safety checklist and standard battery charging procedures
• Assist team members in meeting and exceeding customer expectations
• Update supervisor and team lead on issues or concerns
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area
• All other duties as assigned

Skills & Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED or three years of relevant warehouse experience required
• Previous Warehouse Or Manufacturing Experience Is Required
• Current forklift certification or the ability to become certified within 30 days required
• Must be able to read and understand written and verbal instructions
• Strong attention to detail
• Able to lift up to 40 pounds alone and greater weights in a team-lift environment
• Capable of lifting, carrying, bending, stretching, and standing for long periods
• Able to climb ladders as needed
