Job summary

Synergy Fiber is seeking a Temporary Low-Voltage Technician to support a commercial construction project in Ann Arbor and surrounding cities. The role involves installation, testing, and troubleshooting of structured cabling and low-voltage systems, with emphasis on quality workmanship and safety standards.

Qualifications

Experience with structured cabling and low-voltage systems preferred but not required.
Candidates of all experience levels encouraged to apply.
Ability to safely use ladders, hand tools, and power tools.

Responsibilities

Pull, route, and secure CAT5e/CAT6 cabling in commercial construction environments.
Build and organize telecommunications rooms and equipment closets.
Install cable support systems, including cable tray, ladder tray, and J-hooks.
Install and terminate structured cabling, fiber optic, and coaxial cable systems.
Install low-voltage systems, including security, CCTV, and related cabling.
Terminate RJ45 connectors, outlets, and patch panels.
Test and troubleshoot copper, coaxial, and fiber optic cabling.
Maintain a safe, clean, and organized job site.
Follow project specifications, installation standards, and safety procedures.
