Analytical & Microbiological work and report writing including running various analytical equipment. Writing SOP’s for analytical test.

Position Summary:

The position of laboratory assistant will support client projects by doing work to support project completion. This work includes conducting laboratory and microbiology analysis, and also conducting product and process tests. The work includes completion of test documentation and report writing.

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities and/or Competencies :

Knowledge of basic chemistry, microbiology and food science.
Work with food ingredients and processing equipment.
Write reports.
Understand Standard Operating Procedures and follow them.
Clean equipment.

Physical Demands:

Lift 50# of food material. Operate in a standing mode for a number of hours. Wear personal protective equipment and non-slid shoes in order to clean equipment. Rigorously scrub equipment and utensils.
