Job summary

Pace Analytical Services is hiring a Lab Technician for our East Longmeadow environmental testing lab. This onsite, temporary role supports scientists by preparing water and soil samples and following established prep procedures. Shift is 2:00 PM–10:30 PM, with OT/weekends as needed.

You will work with solvents, maintain records, and wear PPE while assisting with critical quality data. This is a foundation-building role in a safety-focused environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Ability to work in a lab or office setting, stand for long periods, work around strong smells, and wear PPE (lab coat, safety glasses, gloves).
• Experience in a laboratory or environmental testing setting is preferred but not required.

• Follow a variety of established sample preparation procedures.
• Work with various solvents and chemicals for the preparation of samples.
• Maintain and update appropriate documentation and databases.

Compensation: $18.00 per hour

• Experience in a laboratory or environmental testing setting is preferred but not required
