NC State University is seeking a Temporary Lab Technician to assist in various lab, greenhouse, and field activities. The role involves tasks such as prepping microorganisms, organizing sample data, and ensuring compliance with established protocols in a vibrant educational environment. Ideal candidates will possess strong fine motor skills, a commitment to detail, and a collaborative spirit.
The purpose is to conduct basic lab, greenhouse, and field activities, such as making media, plating microorganisms, prepping microorganisms for long term storage, labeling samples and sample containers, organizing sample numbers in an excel spreadsheet, measuring out seeds, filling pots with soil, organizing pots in greenhouse, collecting soil, taking weather measurements, walking through fields, all in accordance to the protocols created by the PI, Daisy Ahumada.
