The Communications Assistant provides high‑level communication support and a welcoming experience to IPR faculty, students, staff, and visitors on the Evanston campus. The Assistant coordinates communication projects and logistics associated with the Institute's internal and external communications. Key responsibilities include:
Excellent attention to detail, the ability to follow through on tasks completely, and the capacity to work methodically during tedious tasks are critical. The ideal candidate is proficient in MS Office (Outlook, Word, Excel), has experience with Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, InDesign), and is familiar with content management systems such as Cascade. Knowledge of the AP Stylebook is a plus.
The Communications Assistant must maintain a positive attitude, demonstrate initiative, exhibit a strong work ethic, and be solutions oriented, collaborative, and coachable. This role requires professionalism, strong written and verbal communication skills, and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast‑paced, small‑team environment.
