Job summary

National University of Singapore is hiring for Temporary IT Desktop & AV Support on a 6-month contract at the Kent Ridge Campus. You’ll handle first-level IT helpdesk tasks for staff, assist with device provisioning and AV setup for events across several venues, and escalate complex issues as needed.

The role requires a diploma/degree in IT or related field and 1–2 years of relevant experience, with strong Windows/Mac and AV systems knowledge. On-site work across multiple sites is expected.

Qualifications

• Diploma or degree in Information Technology, Engineering, Media Technology or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
• 1–2 years of relevant IT helpdesk/desktop support and/or AV technical support experience.

• Ability to work independently across multiple sites and support events outside standard hours per policy.

Job Description

IT Desktop Support

• Provide first-level desktop support for end-user devices, including laptop/desktop hardware, peripherals, printing, software and connectivity issues.
• Assist with laptop/desktop provisioning, imaging, deployment and returns, including device setup for staff onboarding and offboarding.
• Provide first-level support for in-house NUSX systems and standard productivity applications, escalating unresolved issues to the Lead, Services Operation, NUS IT or appointed vendors in accordance with established support arrangements.

AV Support

• Provide AV setup, operation and teardown support for events, town halls, workshops and meetings across i3, BLOCK71 and Curie venues.
• Conduct pre-event AV checks (audio, projection/display, video conferencing, recording and livestream equipment) and provide on-site technical support during events.
• Perform routine checks and preventive maintenance of meeting room and event space AV systems; log and escalation faults to vendors where required.

Qualifications

• Able to work independently across multiple sites, manage concurrent requests and support occasional events outside standard office hours (with time-off arrangements per prevailing policy).
• Service-oriented, dependable and comfortable engaging staff, tenants and external vendors professionally.
