Job summary

Isd 728 is seeking an Instructional Assistant for a temporary role starting ASAP at Westwood Elementary School. The assistant will supervise students in the classroom, on the playground, and in the lunchroom, and help prepare materials for daily activities.

Position is 3 hours per day in a split shift, with starting pay of $21.18 per hour. This temporary assignment runs through 12/22/26, with a priority toward supporting classroom operations and student success.

Qualifications

• High school diploma, GED, or equivalent.
• Ability to work effectively with parents, students, and staff.
• Experience with classroom technology is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Assist the teacher in tutoring students and collecting data to support classroom management.
• Prepare instructional materials and supplies; set up and organize materials.
• Supervise students in classroom, lunchroom, and on playground; ensure safety and behavior.
• Maintain confidentiality of family and program information.
• Work as part of a team with other staff to promote a positive educational environment.
