Job summary

Seamen’s Society for Children and Families in New York City seeks a Health and Wellness QA/QI Coordinator to monitor program performance under Article 29-I, CFTSS, Health Home Care Management, and Bright Beginnings. This role supports continuous quality improvement initiatives with data collection, audits, and KPI reporting.

The position requires a bachelor’s in a related field and at least 3 years in QA/QI within child welfare; travel between Staten Island and Brooklyn may be necessary.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in social work, social services, healthcare, or related field required.
  • Minimum of 3 years working in a similar QA/QI role.
  • Prior experience in a child welfare nonprofit a plus.
  • Knowledge of Continuous Quality Improvement Methodology including PDSA, CQI Cycle of Learning and Improvement, Lean Six Sigma.

Responsibilities

  • Monitor program performance for Article 29‑I, CFTSS, and Health Home Care Management contract expectations.
  • Conduct monthly internal audits; complete quarterly HHCM CCF chart audits; perform eligibility audits.
  • Provide recommendations and oversee action plans to improve practice and compliance.
  • Develop and monitor KPIs via visual reporting to track performance trends.
  • Assist in audits, site visits, and program reviews by City/State/Federal regulators.
  • Contribute to policy development and staff education on QA/QI processes.
  • Collaborate across departments to ensure continuum of care for children and families.
  • Attend stakeholder meetings and training; perform other duties as assigned.
