Job summary

Salt Lake Co in Riverton, UT is seeking a Groundsworker at Riverbend Maintenance Shop to perform general golf course grounds and facility upkeep, including snow removal, litter cleanup, pruning, restroom cleaning and signage maintenance. Qualifications

• General golf course grounds maintenance duties.
• Must pass pre-employment background check.
• Temporary, at-will position with limited hours.

Responsibilities

• Perform general golf course grounds and facility maintenance, including snow removal, litter/debris cleanup, pruning trees/shrubs, cleaning restrooms, maintaining signage, repairing fencing, painting, watering, raking, weeding, digging, etc.
• Perform grass seeding, sod installation, mowing, aerating and top-dressing of fairways, roughs, tees and greens by using appropriate grass seed and application rate.
• Perform minor maintenance and repair to the course and facilities (painting, carpentry, electrical, concrete finishing and other trade skills).
• Perform sand trap maintenance and procedures for changing cup locations on greens per USGA recommendations; ensure cups/plugs are set at appropriate heights.
• Operate a variety of light, medium and specialized equipment to complete tasks.
• Pre-employment background check is required as per County HR policy.
• Temporary positions: At Will, non-exempt, average of 29 hours or less per week or 129 hours or less per month; not eligible for County benefits; not merit employees.
