Job summary

The Oklahoma Military Department is seeking a part-time Temporary Laborer to perform lawn maintenance, landscaping, groundskeeping, and basic building trades support. This role involves manual labor and operating grounds-keeping equipment in outdoor areas on Oklahoma campuses.

Responsibilities include mowing, trimming, cleaning, and routine grounds maintenance. The position is temporary, about 20–29 hours per week, with standard safety and background checks required.

Qualifications

• No formal education is required.
• Knowledge of lawn maintenance and grounds keeping practices.
• Ability to operate grounds keeping equipment and power tools.

Responsibilities

• Mowing, cutting grass, weed-eating, edging and watering.
• Landscaping and maintaining flower beds, shrubs, trees.
• Clean entryways, windows, sidewalks, trash and mats.
• Remove trees/plants as approved to maintain grounds.
• Trim shrubs and maintain tree canopy heights.
• Sweep walkways and entrances.
• General grounds clean-up.
