Job summary

State of Oklahoma is seeking a Temporary Laborer for a part-time, on-site role. You will perform routine grounds maintenance, mowing, landscaping, and assist skilled trades as needed to keep campus facilities in good condition.

The position requires physical stamina, ability to lift up to 40 pounds, and tolerance for outdoor work in varied weather. Compensation is $15.63 per hour and the role is temporary with no benefits, approx. 20–29 hours per week.

Qualifications

• No formal education required.
• Ability to lift/carry up to 40 pounds.
• Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions.

Responsibilities

• Mowing, cutting grass, weed-eating, edging and watering.
• Landscaping, planting, trimming and maintaining flower beds, shrubs and trees.
• Maintains entryways, sidewalks and grounds by washing windows, sweeping sidewalks, cleaning mats, removing trash.
• Cleans culverts, drains and ditches and removes unwanted trees/plants as needed.
• Trims shrubs, trees and maintains canopy heights for equipment.
• Sweeps walkways and entry ways into buildings.
• Picks up trash and performs general grounds clean-up.
