Job summary

Enstar Natural Gas in Alaska is seeking a Temporary Gas Storage Plant Helper to assist in housekeeping, support maintenance of pipeline facilities and gas compressors, and aid supervision with equipment tasks in a dynamic field environment.

You will document work, follow directions, and maintain a safe work setting while collaborating with coworkers on critical energy operations.

Responsibilities

• Perform general housekeeping duties at station buildings, wellpads, and yard areas.
• Assist with maintenance of pipeline facilities and gas compressors as needed.
• Under supervision, operate, maintain, repair, and test industrial equipment used in gas transmission.
• Conduct atmospheric corrosion and exposed metal inspections; clean and paint exposed piping.
• Keep records and report work performed, verbally and in writing.

What You Will Do:

As a Temporary Gas Storage Plant Helper, you will play an essential role within our Pipeline & Compressors department, reporting to the Gas Storage Plant Supervisor. Your responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:

• Perform general housekeeping duties within station buildings, wellpad, and yard area.
• Assist with maintenance of pipeline facilities and gas compressors as required.
• Under supervision - install operate, maintain, repair, overhaul, and test a wide variety of industrial equipment used in the natural gas transmission industry.
• Under supervision perform atmospheric corrosion and exposed metal inspections. Clean and paint exposed piping as required.
• Keep records; make verbal and written reports of work performed.
• Ability to understand and follow directions.

What You Will Bring:

• Ability to safely use of a wide variety of hand and power tools as related to field and shop work; and safe work practices.

Preferred skills and qualifications:

• Must maintain a positive work atmosphere through effective interactions and communications with co-workers, customers and management.
• Must maintain a safe environment for co-workers, customers and the public through adherence to established safety standards and timely reporting of potential hazards.
• Must adhere to ENSTAR's policies and procedures related to the code of business ethics, compliance, responsible use of Company assets, and all applicable state and federal laws.
