Job summary

Four Seasons Hotel San Francisco at Embarcadero is seeking a Temporary Full-Time Bartender to join our luxury team. This role starts with a 3-month assignment, with potential extension based on business needs.

You will craft cocktails and beverages, deliver attentive service, and contribute to the guest experience at the bar and lounge. The ideal candidate has at least two years of bartending or hospitality experience, strong beverage knowledge, and excellent communication skills.

Qualifications

• Minimum two years bartending or related hospitality experience.
• Strong knowledge of cocktails, spirits, wines, beers, and beverage preparation techniques.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with a guest-centric approach.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and serve cocktails, wine, beer, and non-alcoholic beverages per recipes and standards.
• Deliver attentive and engaging service to guests at the bar and lounge areas.
• Provide recommendations and knowledge of beverages, ingredients, and menu offerings.
• Enter orders accurately and process payments using the POS system.
• Anticipate guest needs and resolve concerns professionally and promptly.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and stocked bar area.
• Assist with inventory management and garnishes preparation.

Responsibilities Include (but are not limited to):

• Prepare and serve cocktails, wine, beer, and non-alcoholic beverages according to established recipes and standards.
• Deliver attentive and engaging service to guests seated at the bar and lounge areas.
• Provide recommendations and share knowledge of beverages, ingredients, and menu offerings.
• Accurately enter orders and process cash, credit card, and other payment transactions using the POS system.
• Anticipate guest needs and resolve concerns in a professional and timely manner.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and fully stocked bar area.
• Assist with inventory management, restocking, and preparation of garnishes and beverage components.

Preferred Qualifications and Skills:

• Minimum of two years of bartending experience or related hospitality experience.
• Strong knowledge of cocktails, spirits, wines, beers, and beverage preparation techniques.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with a guest-centric approach.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
• Ability to obtain and maintain required food handling and alcohol service certifications.
• Ability to multi-task in a high volume and demanding environment.
• Strong problem solving skills, ability to handle difficult situations and guests.
• Requires reading, writing and oral proficiency in the English language.
