Job summary

SpaceX is seeking a Fulfillment Buyer in Hawthorne, CA for a 3-month temporary assignment. The role covers purchasing across multiple commodities and interfaces with internal stakeholders to drive cost, quality, and delivery improvements.

On-site work is required with standard 1st shift hours. The ideal candidate holds a Bachelor’s degree or 4+ years of related experience in supply chain or production, with strong MS Office, data analysis, and communication skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or 4+ years of professional experience in supply chain, production, or engineering in lieu of a degree.
• Indirect purchasing experience preferred.
• Strong problem solving with speed bias.
• Excellent customer service skills and communication.

Responsibilities

• Review purchase requests and issue purchase orders in a timely manner without error.
• Ensure purchase orders are acknowledged by suppliers.
• Review quotes for completeness and alignment with SpaceX terms.
• Resolve invoice issues and ensure vendors are paid on time.
• Expedite parts/services as necessary.
• Act as customer service for SpaceX internal customers.
• Support buyers in cost savings initiatives.
• Lead miscellaneous procurement projects.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to reduce order processing time and cost.
