Job summary

TEGNA Inc. is seeking a full-time Video Editor for WFAA-TV in Dallas. The ideal candidate will create captivating content for television, social media, and mobile platforms, while meeting tight deadlines and maintaining a strong storytelling eye.

Proficiency in non-linear editing and a passion for broadcast and digital news content are essential. Must be able to work early mornings, nights and weekends, collaborating with producers, reporters, and the digital team.

Qualifications

• BA/BS degree preferred.
• Knowledge of non-linear editing systems using Edius, Premiere, and Photoshop.
• Interest in broadcast and digital news content.
• Organizational skills and the ability to work under deadline pressure.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Must be deadline-oriented, maintaining quality while staying on tight schedules.
• Must be able to work early mornings, nights and weekends.

Responsibilities

• Use editing tools to create content for Newscast and Digital platforms.
• Use creative production techniques such as graphics and new forms of media (viewer pictures, webcam interviews, etc.) to enhance stories.

WFAA-TV , the TEGNA-owned ABC affiliate in Dallas is looking for a full-time Video Editor to join our team.

The ideal candidate is proficient at creating captivating and shareable content for television, social media, and mobile platforms.

You must be a self-starter who is technologically savvy and can work under tight deadlines.

We are looking for individuals who possess a keen artistic eye, a deep understanding of editing and photography techniques, and a passion for storytelling.

Responsibilities:

• Use editing tools to create content for Newscast and Digital platforms.
• Use creative production techniques such as graphics and new forms of media (viewer pictures, webcam interviews, etc.) to enhance stories.
