Job summary

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Valid California Driver's License.
• Completion of CSFM Fire Inspector series desirable.

Responsibilities

• Inspect buildings and development projects for conformance with fire protection and life safety laws and codes.
• Witness and certify installation/testing of fire protection systems (sprinklers, alarms, etc.).
• Prepare and issue notices of correction/violation and related reports.
• Maintain records of properties’ compliance or violations and support other Fire Department programs.
