Job summary

Mecklenburg County Park & Recreation is hiring a Temporary Event Venue Operations Assistant to support athletic event logistics at Grady Cole Center and American Legion Memorial Stadium. You will work with event staff, assist with field and facility maintenance, and help operate sound, scoreboard and clock equipment as needed.

This role requires no prior experience; a high school diploma is required and a valid NC or SC driver's license.

Qualifications

• Experience: No experience required.
• Education: High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Licenses: Valid NC or SC Driver’s License.
• Computer skills: General knowledge of applicable computer programs.

Responsibilities

• Load and unload heavy material from trucks and vans.
• Move and aid in moving furniture or equipment and large objects.
• Perform building maintenance such as checking fire extinguishers and changing light bulbs.
• Perform custodial and general grounds keeping tasks.
• Assist with general labor tasks such as digging ditches.
