Job summary

Clovis Community College is seeking a Temporary Custodian to perform cleaning, sanitizing and maintenance of classrooms, offices and restrooms at the Clovis, CA campus. The role includes event setup, cleanup and basic reporting on work performed.

The position requires completion of high school or GED and one year of custodial experience. A valid California driver’s license is preferred and lifting up to 50 pounds is required. Training on safety and equity practices is provided.

Qualifications

• Graduation from high school or GED equivalent and one year of work experience.
• Knowledge of proper cleaning methods and safe work practices.
• Ability to operate a variety of hand and power custodial tools and equipment.
• Basic computer literacy and ability to prepare basic records.

Responsibilities

• Cleans, sanitizes and restocks restrooms and classrooms.
• Sweeps, mops, vacuums, and polishes floors and carpets.
• Assist with event setup and cleanup and move office furniture as needed.
• Open/close buildings, monitor alarms and follow safety procedures.
• Prepare work orders and complete timesheets in a timely manner.
