Job summary

Taylor Corporation is seeking a Temporary Equipment Operator to join our production team. In this role, you will prepare and operate printing press equipment, support quality standards, and help keep jobs moving safely and accurately.

The shift is Monday to Friday, 9:30am to 6:00pm, and candidates must be authorized to work in the United States. We value accurate information exchange and a strong mechanical aptitude to meet production deadlines.

Qualifications

• High degree of mathematical skills and attention to detail.
• High degree of mechanical ability.
• Good reading ability.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and operate printing press equipment in compliance with job specifications and company quality standards and procedures.
• Perform daily, weekly, and monthly maintenance on equipment to ensure optimum output.
• Prepare inks for proper color and consistency.
• Check paper for type, size, color, and quantity.
• Check plates for correct format.
• Visually inspect forms throughout the run for quality.
• Coordinate with the Production Team to produce and prioritize jobs, and adjust to meet deadlines.

Your Opportunity:

Taylor Corporation is looking for a Temporary Equipment Operator to join our production team. In this role, you will prepare and operate printing press equipment, support quality standards throughout production, and help keep jobs moving safely and accurately.

Work Authorization:

Your Responsibilities:

• Prepare and operate printing press equipment in compliance with job specifications and company quality standards and procedures.


• Perform daily, weekly, and monthly maintenance on equipment to ensure optimum output.


• Prepare inks for proper color and consistency.


• Check paper for type, size, color, and quantity.


• Check plates for correct format.


• Visually inspect forms throughout the run for quality.


• Coordinate with the Production Team to produce and prioritize jobs, and when necessary, reorganize work to meet deadline changes and updates.


• Maintain knowledge of safety requirements for the job and equipment.

Your Shift:

Monday - Friday 9:30am - 6:00pm

You Must Have:

• Ability to set adjustable mechanisms to required tolerances.


• High degree of mathematical skills and attention to detail.


• High degree of mechanical ability.


• Good reading ability.

Requirements Within This Position:

• Ability to communicate and exchange accurate information and ideas so others will understand.


• Regularly required to remain in a stationary position.


• Constantly operates machinery and handles products including print materials.


• Frequently required to move inside the facility.


• Regularly move up to 25+ pounds, including lifting, pushing, pulling, and/or carrying.

We Would Also Prefer:

• Ability to work with very close tolerances.


• Ability to effectively communicate with team members.


• High degree of analytical skills.


• Good color discernment.
