Qualifications

• Recommendation from a District department or campus. Must have met requirements for hire for the selected position.
• Bachelor's degree or higher from recognized, accredited college or university preferred for tutors and/or professional positions.
• Valid Texas Teaching Certification
• Minimum of 30 hours of professional learning in the area of Gifted/Talented education.
• Ability to speak, read, and understand the English language.
• Maintain confidentiality and abide by district policies.

Responsibilities

• Facilitate learning opportunities for advanced/gifted learners.
• Create/design lessons meant to foster critical/creative thinking.
• Manage small group learning environments and/or support extended learning opportunities within the classroom setting, as designated by building principal.
• Follow assigned schedule implemented by campus leadership.
