Job summary

San Juan Unified School District is seeking a recreational elementary paraeducator for a short-term assignment at LeGette Elementary School. Position is 6 hours per day, 0.75 FTE, with a temporary contract through 04/02/2027.

Work hours are 8:40 AM to 3:25 PM, Monday through Friday. The role requires prior experience with groups of children and the ability to pass the required proficiency test (CBEST/IA) and upload the high school diploma during application.

Qualifications

• Previous experience working with groups of children.
• Ability to follow teacher instructions and support classroom activities.

Responsibilities

• Assist Elementary students under supervision of the paraeducator/teacher.
• Support classroom management and instructional activities.
• Supervise students during transitions and recess as assigned.
