Job summary

CSP (Teijin Automotive Technologies) in Salisbury, North Carolina is seeking a temporary EHS Supervisor for an approximately six-month assignment. You will support the EHS Manager in all OSHA/EPA compliance activities within a manufacturing setting.

Responsibilities include hazard evaluation, investigations, environmental program support, training, and incident analyses. Strong MS Office skills and clear communication are essential to success.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in environmental science, safety, or health-related field.
• Three years minimum environmental, health, and safety experience, preferably in manufacturing.
• Knowledge of EPA regulations and OSHA requirements.
• Experience communicating effectively, both verbally and in writing.
• Proficiency with MS Office software (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).

Responsibilities

• Identify and control workplace hazards in industrial hygiene and safety.
• Guide maintenance, engineering, production, purchasing and shipping teams.
• Investigate health and safety complaints and propose solutions.
• Assist with environmental programs (hazardous waste, storm water, wastewater, air quality reports).
• Classify injury/illness events per OSHA and maintain records.
• Maintain EHS policies and document control.
• Coordinate respirator fit testing for compliance.
• Conduct industrial hygiene sampling and manage third-party testing as needed.
• Provide EHS training on safety topics (respiratory protection, hearing safety, machine guarding, forklift certification, spill response).
• Train and support personnel on safety projects and resources.
• Drive JSA program and support Safety Suggestion Program.
• Serve as Emergency First Responder and participate in plant safety inspections.
