Qualifications

• Minimum - High School Diploma with CDA credential or comparable credential
• Equivalent coursework as part of an associate’s or bachelor’s degree (60-90 college credits in Social Work, Human Development or Early Childhood Education preferred)
• Experience with young children and understanding of adult learning principles
• Experience working with community resources
• Excellent written and verbal communication with families, staff and community members
• Ability to travel independently via public transportation
• Ability to work independently
• Proficient in Word and Excel
• Bilingual English/ Chinese or Spanish strongly preferred

Responsibilities

• Maintain a caseload of participants and provide weekly home visits.
• Support parents in primary caregiving and child development within home environments.
• Assist pregnant women with prenatal and postpartum care and education.
• Collect and analyze data on child development and progress.
• Document interactions with families using case notes.
• Coordinate with families to access community resources and transportation as needed
• Participate in program governance, recruitment, and staff meetings.
