Job summary

Oakmont Management Group in Irvine, California, operates Ivy Living communities including Ivy Park at Tustin and seeks a part-time Driver to support resident outings and activities.

The role requires a Class B or C license with Passenger Endorsement, excellent customer service, and the ability to maintain safety during transportation. You will follow state and federal laws and collaborate with activity staff for a secure resident experience.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 21 years of age.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Must have Class B or C license with Passenger Endorsement to drive the bus.
• Excellent customer service skills.
• Strong written and verbal communication with staff, residents and families.
• Criminal background check and health screening required.

Responsibilities

• Operate community vehicles safely on outings, excursions and appointments.
• Assist with loading residents and belongings onto/off vehicles.
• Follow all state and federal laws for vehicle operation.
• Comply with vehicle inspection and driving standards.
• Demonstrate safe driving while transporting residents.
• Maintain pace and safety during transportation.
• Act as part of activity staff during outings and events.
• Maintain a safe, secure environment for staff and residents.

The Driver is responsible for ensuring the safe driving of the communitys vehicles and supervision of the residents during community outings or trips Additionally they may assist in setting up and breaking down activities and events in the Community in accordance with the companys mission and values

Responsibilities

• Operate community vehicles safely on outings excursions special activities and personal resident appointments
• Assist with the safe loading of residents and their belongings onto and off of community vehicles
• Follow all state and federal laws when operating community vehicles
• Comply with standards and processes for proper vehicle inspection and driving
• Demonstrate safe driving in getting residents transported
• Observes speed limits yet are still punctual and safe in transporting people
• Act as a member of the activity staff when on outings excursions and within the community
• Maintain a safe and secure environment for all staff residents and guests following established safety standards
• Encourage teamwork through cooperative interactions with co workers and other departments

Qualifications

• Must be at least 21 years of age
• High school diploma or equivalent
• Must have either a Class B or Class C license with Passenger Endorsement to drive the busPrefer two 2 years of experience driving a vehiclevanbus transporting people
• Excellent customer service skills
• Possess written and verbal skills to interact and communicate effectively with employees supervisors physicians healthcare professionals residents and their families
• Must pass a Criminal Background check and Health Screening tests including physical and TB Tests
• For the health and safety of our team members and residents Oakmont Management Group may require team members to vaccinate participate in daily screening surveillance testing and to wear face coverings and other personal protective equipment PPE to prevent the spread of the COVID 19 or other communicable diseases per regulatory guidelines
