Job summary

Ivy Living in Woodland Hills, CA is seeking a part-time Driver to safely operate community vehicles during outings and events. The role includes assisting residents, loading belongings, and adhering to all laws to ensure safe transportation.

Qualifications include a high school diploma or equivalent, a Class B or C license with Passenger Endorsement, and at least 21 years old. Health screenings and background checks are required; vaccination may be requested.

• Must be at least 21 years of age.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Must have Class B or Class C license with Passenger Endorsement.
• Prefer two years of experience driving vehicles transporting people.
• Possess written and verbal communication to interact with employees, residents and families.
• Must pass a Criminal Background check and health screenings including TB tests.

Responsibilities

• Operate community vehicles safely on outings, excursions, and activities.
• Assist with loading residents and belongings onto/off community vehicles.
• Follow state and federal laws when operating community vehicles.
• Comply with vehicle inspection standards and demonstrate safe driving.
• Act as a member of the activity staff during outings and within the community.
• Maintain a safe environment for staff, residents and guests.
• Encourage teamwork through cooperative interactions with staff and departments.

The Driver is responsible for ensuring the safe driving of the community’s vehicles and supervision of the residents during community outings or trips. Additionally, they may assist in setting up and breaking down activities and events in the Community, in accordance with the company’s mission and values.

Responsibilities:

• Operate community vehicles safely on outings, excursions, special activities, and personal resident appointments.
• Assist with the safe loading of residents and their belongings onto and off-of-community vehicles.
• Follow all state and federal laws when operating community vehicles.
• Comply with standards and processes for proper vehicle inspection and driving. Demonstrate safe driving in getting residents transported. Observes speed limits yet are still punctual and safe in transporting people.
• Act as a member of the activity staff when on outings/excursions and within the community.
• Maintain a safe and secure environment for all staff, residents, and guests, following established safety standards.
• Encourage teamwork through cooperative interactions with co-workers and other departments.

Qualifications:

• Must be at least 21 years of age.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Must have either a Class B or Class C license with Passenger Endorsement to drive the bus
• Prefer two (2) years of experience driving a vehicle/van/bus transporting people.
• Possess written and verbal skills to interact and communicate effectively with employees, supervisors, physicians, healthcare professionals, residents, and their families.
• Must pass a Criminal Background check and Health Screening tests, including physical and TB Tests
• For the health and safety of our team members and residents, Oakmont Management Group may require team members to vaccinate, participate in daily screening, surveillance testing, and to wear face coverings and other personal protective equipment (PPE) to prevent the spread of the COVID-19 or other communicable diseases, per regulatory guidelines.
