Our client, a top law firm, is seeking a temporary Document Review Manager for its team.
The Document Review Manager/Discovery Attorney oversees all aspects of large-scale document review projects in connection with litigation, investigations, regulatory matters, and other disputes. This role manages teams of bench attorneys, coordinates review workflows, ensures quality and consistency in responsiveness and privilege determinations, and serves as a key liaison between legal teams, eDiscovery vendors and teams, and review personnel.
The ideal candidate has strong experience with document review operations, technology-assisted review workflows, quality control processes, and production readiness in complex matters.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage day-to-day operations of document review projects from kickoff through production.
- Supervise teams of document reviewers, team leads, and contract attorneys.
- Implement review protocols, coding guidelines, escalation procedures, and workflow documentation.
- Conduct reviewer training on platform usage and provide ongoing feedback to ensure consistency and accuracy.
- Monitor reviewer productivity, quality metrics, and deadlines to ensure efficient completion of review objectives.
- Coordinate with case teams, eDiscovery counsel, litigation support professionals, and vendors regarding review strategy and production requirements.
- Perform and oversee quality control and validation processes, including responsiveness, privilege, confidentiality, and issue coding reviews.
- Assist with implementation and management of technology-assisted review (“TAR”), continuous active learning (“CAL”), analytics, and AI-assisted review workflows where appropriate.
- Track project status, reporting metrics, and budget considerations, and provide regular updates to stakeholders.
- Resolve substantive and procedural review issues, including escalation of potentially privileged or high-risk documents.
Qualifications
- Bar admission is required.
- Experience managing large-scale or complex reviews involving multiple custodians, data sources, and productions.
- Familiarity with TAR/CAL workflows, analytics, search methodologies, and AI-assisted review tools.
- Strong understanding of civil discovery obligations, privilege review, and ESI workflows.
- Proficiency with the Relativity review platform and other similar review technologies.
- Excellent organizational, communication, and project management skills.
- Ability to manage multiple deadlines and priorities in fast-paced environments.
- Strong analytical judgment and attention to detail.
- Familiarity with privilege logging, redactions, and production specifications.
- Must reside in NY, NJ, or CT.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience working with outside counsel, in-house legal teams, and eDiscovery vendors.
- Certifications such as CEDS, PMP, or Relativity certifications are a plus.

Benefit eligible after 6 months. They need someone who really understands and has worked with AI and Tar workflows. The work should be consistent though there is a possibility that there will be a pause between projects.
Pay rate is dependent on experience: $50-$60/hour
