Job summary

SOFIE in Romeoville, IL is seeking a Temporary Distribution Technician I to support production and distribution of drug products. Duties include data entry, scheduling deliveries, and handling physical tasks to aid packaging and production.

The role requires adherence to DOT and Radiation Compliance and the ability to lift heavy items. This position is a 6-month contract paying $28 per hour, with responsibilities across shipping, receiving, and logistic coordination within the Network Operations

Qualifications

• High school diploma required.
• Experience in shipping, receiving, and/or logistics preferred.
• Efficient in the use of MS Office Suite required.
• Ability to work various shifts and weekends required.
• Ability to be detail-oriented, organized, and work in a team environment required.
• Ability to lift ~50 lbs. repetitively required.

Responsibilities

• Process shipping returns and prepare related paperwork and SOPs.
• Prepare shipping containers for dose shipment and perform required tests.
• Clean and organize areas within the facility and assist with hazardous waste removal.
• Assist staff with logistic routing to customer sites and track shipments and returns.
• Maintain required paperwork, logs, and reports; complete cGMP documents in QMS.
• Maintain a clean and safe working environment and perform radiation safety duties.
• Coordinate communication between third-party courier services and customers.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Overview

The Distribution Technician I is responsible for assisting with the production and distribution of drug product. This position requires administrative skills to accommodate the data entry requirements of the position along with being familiar with the area served, DOT regulations, ability to schedule driver deliveries. This position also requires the individual handle the physical requirements in order to assist with packaging and or production.

Essential Duties And Responsibilities

• Process shipping returns :
  • Perform wipe test and survey containers according to Department of Transportation and Radiation Compliance Program standard operating procedures (SOPs) and company and agency regulations.
  • Clean packing cases and unit dose containers previously containing drug product to work instructions.
• Prepare shipping containers for dose shipment:
  • Perform wipe test and survey containers according to Department of Transportation and Radiation Compliance Program standard operating procedures (SOPs) and company and agency regulations.
• Clean and organize classified and non-classified areas within the facility:
  • Assist with hazardous material waste removal and shipment.
• Assist staff with logistic routing to customer sites and track shipments and returns.
• Maintain and complete required paperwork, logs, documents, and reports.
• Complete cGMP documents as required within SOFIE’s Quality Management System.
• Maintain a clean and safe working environment and perform radiation safety duties according to SOFIE’s Corporate Radiation Compliance Program and site licensing requirements.
• Assist staff with communication between third-party courier services and customers.
• Other assigned duties as required.
