Job summary

Belmont Village Senior Living is seeking a Temporary Dining Room Coordinator to manage the on-site dining operation, hire and supervise servers, and assist with meal service and events. You will build strong resident relationships and work closely with the Chef Manager to foster a collaborative dining culture.

Ideal candidates will have dining supervision experience in senior living or hospitality, strong English communication, and a willingness to train staff and learn new tools.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• Previous dining supervisor experience in senior living, restaurant, hotel, or comparable service industry.
• Knowledge of dining etiquette and hospitality standards with the ability to train others.
• Knowledge of cleaning standards in a commercial food operation.
• Must be able to communicate clearly in verbal and written English.
• Ability to work flexible schedule as the needs of the dining program require.
• Must be able to effectively use company issued electronic devices for job tasks.
• Must be comfortable learning new software tools as required.
• Consistent and reliable attendance is essential.

• Coordinate guest seating and maintain dining room readiness for each meal service.
• Collaborate with Sales, Marketing, Activities, and residents for events.
• Address resident and guest feedback professionally and with care.
• Assist Chef Manager in training front of house staff on safety, food handling, and cleanliness.
• Collaborate with leadership and teams to align with organizational goals.
• Assist with front of house staff scheduling, interviewing, and delegation.

ABOUT THE ROLE

As the Temporary Dining Room Coordinator, you will manage the total dining room operation in our on-site restaurant including hiring, supervising and training of our restaurant servers. This position is a hands-on supervisory position assisting with the restaurant meal service, special events and room service delivery as needed. You will develop lasting relationships with residents and guests in our restaurant style dining room. Supported by our experienced Chef Manager, you’ll help cultivate a culture of collaboration and excellence in dining and hospitality. YOUR TYPICAL RESPONSIBILITIES

• Provide leadership and actively support dining room servers, ensuring exceptional food service and hospitality

• Collaborate with community leadership, regional teams, and corporate support to align with organizational goals




• Assist the Chef Manager with front of house staff schedules, interviewing, training, and task delegation

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

• High School diploma or equivalent




• Previous dining supervisor experience in senior living, restaurant, hotel, or comparable service industry




• Knowledge of dining etiquette and hospitality standards with the ability to train others




• Knowledge of cleaning standards in a commercial food operation




• Must be able to communicate clearly in verbal and written English
