Job summary

The Ohio State University’s Marketplace on Neil is seeking a Temporary Dining Operations Assistant to support dining services, greet customers, prepare and serve meals and beverages, and assist with inventory and ordering. The role requires weekend and holiday coverage with various shifts and a 40-hour workweek.

A background check is required. Located in the Neil Building, this temporary position is up to 12 months with a target hiring range of $17.00 per hour.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED.
• Strong communication and cash handling skills.
• Background check required.
• 0–2 years front-line customer service experience desired.
• Experience brewing premium coffees and espresso-based drinks desired.
• Experience taking inventories and placing orders desired.

Responsibilities

• Greet customers and take food/beverage orders.
• Prepare and serve meals and beverages to customers.
• Handle payments and BuckID transactions.
• Assist with inventory and supplies, including ordering.
• Maintain cleanliness and compliance with food safety standards.
