Position Summary:
We have an exciting opportunity to join our team as a Temporary Dental Assistant - Park Ridge, Brooklyn.

The Dental Assistant assists the dentist in all modalities of dentistry, including operatory, oral surgery, endodontics, periodontics, orthodontics, and pediatric dentistry. The assistant practices four-handed dentistry and upholds standards of care related to infection control, OSHA guidelines, and safety. Responsibilities include exposing, developing, and mounting radiographs, preparing rooms, ensuring patient comfort, sterilizing handpieces, transporting instruments for sterilization, identifying inoperable equipment, performing light lab work, documenting patient records, and complying with departmental policies and procedures.

Job Responsibilities:

• Ensure compliance with hospital, health center, and departmental policies and procedures.
• Provide chairside assistance to the dentist using proper techniques and sterile protocols.
• Provide care based on patients' physical, psychosocial, educational, safety, and age-related needs.
• Pour, trim, and manage patient study models; complete laboratory forms accurately.
• Document patient records and assist in charting and processing forms.
• Sterilize and disinfect instruments and handpieces following infection control guidelines.
• Clean and prepare instruments for sterilization.
• Ensure patient comfort while waiting.
• Maintain an organized and clean dental operatory, ensuring availability of instruments and supplies.
• Take, expose, develop, and mount radiographs when applicable.
• Uphold infection control standards and OSHA guidelines at assigned stations.

Minimum Qualifications:
High School Diploma and 1 year of chairside dental assisting experience.

Qualified candidates must communicate effectively with all levels of the organization.

Salary range for this role is $47,102.40 - $52,070.94 annually, depending on experience, education, and hospital needs. This range does not include bonuses or other compensation.
