Delivery Driver Helper

The Delivery Driver Helper assists Sherwin-Williams Delivery Service ("SWDS") drivers in making deliveries to customers and stores in a metropolitan area. Responsibilities include riding with the driver, helping unload products, maintaining safety and security, and other duties as assigned. Work hours are typically from 6:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m., but may vary based on business needs.

This is a temporary 90-day position.

The role involves contact with customers, including minors, and access to cash, electronic equipment, personal information, merchandise, and other valuables. A criminal history review is required to ensure safety and protect company operations.

Job Duties:

1. Assist the driver in loading and unloading materials, following safety procedures and traffic laws, and documenting deliveries with signatures and photos via handheld device.
2. Contact customers and/or stores prior to delivery and pick-up.
3. Work a varied schedule based on delivery needs.
4. Spend many hours riding in the passenger seat; driving is not required.

Minimum Requirements:

• At least 18 years old.
• Legally authorized to work without sponsorship now or in the future.
• Ability to retrieve materials from shelves and lift up to 50 lbs. frequently and 70 lbs. occasionally, with or without reasonable accommodation.

Preferred Qualifications:

• High School diploma or GED.
• Valid, unrestricted Driver's License.
• At least one year of experience with material handling equipment.
• At least one year of experience in delivery, retail, or customer service.
• Ability to read, write, and communicate in more than one language, including Spanish.
